Estepona: a jewel on the Costa del Sol

ESTEPONA is a charming small fishing village on the Costa del Sol, situated just beyond the tourist bustle of Torremolinos, Fuengirola and Marbella, yet just a 50 minute drive from Malaga airport.

ESTEPONA boasts 5 kilometres of sandy beach and an equally long modern pedestrian boulevard with small scale apartments. Behind this boulevard Estepona is still an authentic Andalusian fishing village with restaurants, terraces, bars, cosy squares and a long shopping street. You won’t find the large chain stores here, but you will discover a variety of regional foods in the local shops. In short : a peaceful, cosy Spanish seaside resort with friendly locals who do their own shopping here. Situated at the edge of Estepona there is also a supermarket (Carrefour) for all your general purchases.

Costa del Golf

Estepona is situated in the heart of the Costa del Sol, between Marbella and Gibraltar. This popular stretch of coast, with its extremely mild climate is often referred to as the Costa del Golf because of the many golf courses spread along the coast. Golf enthusiasts can have a great time here, choosing a different course to play on each day of the week. The picturesque harbour of Estepona is the place to unwind. The fish restaurants serve delicious meals, straight from the sea onto you plate. The hinterland of Estepona offers potential for fantastic discovery trips. The white town of Casares, for example, is situated in the hills at a stone’s throw. Large towns such as Granada (with its world famous Alhambra), Sevilla, Ronda and Cordoba are certainly worth a visit. Real Andalusian life takes place here in the picturesque squares and the narrow, authentic streets.
